A little bit of my work...

Just a few things from the last few days...

Laura Burger...

And my last share for today, by best friend Laura...

Sarah-Jane...

Meet Sarah-Jane....

Holly....

When I started this blog I shared some things that I'd come accross and loved, so now I shall share some work by my brilliant friends...

Meet Holly Levell. Who is making some amazing things right now including these ketchup bottles....

2 ketchup bottles done and its only 12:30
i now like the ones i’ve just made better than my original though

Facebook....

I feel like I've been neglecting the blog a little of late as I've been posting on facebook. It's a lot faster and I have a lot more followers. I do love blogging though, it seems a lot more permanent than a facebook page, I love going through old blog posts and finding lots of lovely things but on facebook you do have to catch someone there and then. So I shall now spend a good chunk of time doing a bit of blogging and try to do this at least once a week! But just in case there's anyone reading this who fancies having a look wander over to My facebook page.

Wedding embroidery....

After I did the christening embroidery a while ago I had the idea to do a wedding one. So I chose my mum and dad's weddng photo and made a start yesterday. I only finished the bride but will do the groom sometime soon. I will put the wedding date on it too so it could be a lovely anniversary present....

Starting to put some cards together...

I have started doing embroidery pieces to go on greetings cards. These aren't the finished pieces but I thought I'd pop some bits up just in case anyone is reading. Hopefully when I have a batch of real life cards made I shall be doing a craft fair, will keep you posted!

My plan....

I'm having issues now that I'm a graduate with knowing what to do with myself. Obviously I shall still be an embroiderer but there aren't actually many jobs in this. So I am setting up as a freelancer, doing bits and pieces for people. I've been thinking all week though that I want to set up a business, sell my work to shops, do craft fairs, have a website that sells stuff etc. I've been sketching and making bits and pieces trying to decide what I should be selling....turns out that's not an easy question. Last night though I decided that there is a very simple solution - I shall try to sell my actual embroideries! I have really enjoyed doing my Loula-Rose christening present and my ginger bread house so I figured why not do more of this stuff. I am going to create the actual embroidery pieces to sell but also sell prints of these pieces (which would obviously be a far lower price) and cards and stationary items with the embroidery printed on them.... Hopefully this is a good idea and people will like them! By the end of the year I plan to have a website set up where I can sell and I am currently looking into shops and fairs etc...watch this space!
P.S if you see anything you might want to buy in the meantime then send me an email or a comment or something :-)

Christmas....

So I made a start on Christmas today (very exciting as Christmas is my very favourite and we are nowhere near it). I did some little embroideries that I plan to play around making into repeats as soon as photoshop enters my house (how I miss the uni macs). Have some ideas for Christmas products that I may go on to sell at Christmas fairs....

Tigerprint competition entry.....

For the last week I have been working on my Tigerprint 'gifted'entry. I went for fairies flying around a ginger bread house whch was lots of fun. I'm quite happy with the end thing and now I plan to spend another week working on Christmas stuff (this time just for general selling).
