The Bark Foundation...

I've been working on this embroidery project for the Bark Foundation lately. The embroidery has been printed onto postcards to be sold for £1 each which will go towards the building of a new building for the Hotpec orphanage in the Cameroon. Each brick needed costs £1 which was the inspiration behind the design. The Bark Foundation was created by a lovely couple in my village and you can read more about the Hotpec orphanage and their wonderful work here... The Bark Foundation. I am hoping to do another project for them soon so watch this space....

Marks and Spencer...

A few patterned delights that I found in M&S the other day. I do love that place!

Moustaches...

I think I may be overdoing the moustache trend somewhat. Just hoping that it sticks around long enough for me to use it in my cards.

Snow day...

The sketchbook project...

This year I finally entered the sketchbook project. I chose the title "lists". Being me though, I left it until the very last minute. I'm happy with the results but it is a little sparse. I had a lot of other ideas that I wish I had time to include but never mind - I will save them for later.

Actually loving the backs of these pages. My textiles teacher always used to say that to me and now I finally agree. Not sure why a load of them are sideways - I can't work out how to rotate them successfully.

The V&A ballgown exhibition...

I recently went the the ballgown exhibition at the V&A. It was amazing! I could have stayed there all day. This Alexander Mcqueen dress was by far my favourite, (I found the image on Pinterest). The set up was lovely, there were two floors, the first with dresses in glass cases, the second with dresses close enough to touch (although I hope that no one would dare.)No drawing was allowed which was very sad so I bought the beautiful book instead as I don't think I will be able to remember everything.

Pretty photos...

Fun photos...

A minion! Yes, I own a minion!

I got a sock dinosaur making kit for Christmas and promptly spent the whole Christmas period making sock dinosaurs...I even braved the sales to buy (full price as they were prettier) socks.

She always looks the same!
